Kaela is enthusiastic about helping individuals overcome any resistance they have to their own bodies. She is especially interested in encouraging women to talk all about the ins and outs of periods and how they affect your overall health. She specifically sings the praises of Fun Factory’s Fun Cup, a menstrual cup designed to go with the curves of your body. “Periods happen. I want to normalize talking about them and let people know they have options other than pads or tampons.”
With a bachelor’s degree in communications, Kaela knows how important it is to reach people through body language and intuition. “I am a big advocate for conversations about boundaries and consent. Anything having to do with body issues or sex can be such sensitive topics, so I try my best to make clients here as comfortable as possible”. Kaela also works on VaVaVooom’s web development and community outreach.

Lisa Genevieve is the President and founder of VaVaVooom LLC. For eleven years, it has been her pleasure to provide intimate products that are consciously curated. “There are so many adult shops that carry products that are simply not safe for intimate use. As a woman concerned about not only what we put on our bodies, but also in our bodies, my goal has been to create a destination, both in our brick & mortar shop in the heart of Asheville. and on our website, that celebrates sexuality in a psychologically and physically positive manner.”
"I realized years ago that many of the complications in our sexual lives are due to lingering shame-based traditions that we internalize. Spirituality is an important part of sexuality; other cultures down through time celebrated sexuality, even when expressing inevitable "shadow" elements. There is so much opportunity for personal and relational growth in adult play, whether solo or partnered. With self-awareness, sensible boundaries and conscious consent, life is rich. Keep exploring, and be kind!"
