Holli is the manager at VaVaVooom, 57 Broadway in Asheville. She is our resident toy expert and sex positive warrior. "I’m passionate about sexual health and wellness for everyone. My favorite aspect about working at VVV is helping people own their sexuality." Holli encourages couples to bring adventure into their relationships be exploring the use of all sort of play products. “There are so many things to choose from that can be so much fun! Let me help you find something that lights you up!”
Holli stays current on new developments in the adult product industry, and thoroughly researches the body-safety and peformance of new products before bringing new lines into the shop. “We only want the best for our clients here at VaVaVooom” she insists, “and it is not always easy to find that, so I stay on top of new information”. Before joining VaVaVooom several years ago, Holli served her country in the Unites States Military for many years, and loves kittens.
Jody is enthusiastic about body-safe products and in helping clients discover the wonderful Sliquid lubricant line and will happily disclose the qualities of Sliquid's many different ph balanced, glycerine-free body safe products. "With the many body safe products now available, no one should have to use any product internally that has harmful ingredients or preservative. Sliquid even has organic and vegan products available!"
Jody is expanding her core base of knowledge about human sexuality, and incorporates her ongoing study of art in that. “We all have energy that is healthy to direct into creative processes, and how we express ourselves sexually is an art form that can be developed”. Jody’s lively paintings can be seen and are available for sale at VaVaVooom.
Kaela is enthusiastic about helping individuals overcome any resistance they have to their own bodies. She is especially interested in encouraging women to talk all about the ins and outs of periods and how they affect your overall health. She specifically sings the praises of Fun Factory’s Fun Cup, a menstrual cup designed to go with the curves of your body. “Periods happen. I want to normalize talking about them and let people know they have options other than pads or tampons.”
With a bachelor’s degree in communications, Kaela knows how important it is to reach people through body language and intuition. “I am a big advocate for conversations about boundaries and consent. Anything having to do with body issues or sex can be such sensitive topics, so I try my best to make clients here as comfortable as possible”. Kaela also works on VaVaVooom’s web development and community outreach.
Lisa Genevieve is the President and founder of VaVaVooom LLC. For eleven years, it has been her pleasure to provide intimate products that are consciously curated. “There are so many adult shops that carry products that are simply not safe for intimate use. As a woman concerned about not only what we put on our bodies, but also in our bodies, my goal has been to create a destination, both in our brick & mortar shop in the heart of Asheville. and on our website, that celebrates sexuality in a psychologically and physically positive manner.”
"I realized years ago that many of the complications in our sexual lives are due to lingering shame-based traditions that we internalize. Spirituality is an important part of sexuality; other cultures down through time celebrated sexuality, even when expressing inevitable "shadow" elements. There is so much opportunity for personal and relational growth in adult play, whether solo or partnered. With self-awareness, sensible boundaries and conscious consent, life is rich. Keep exploring, and be kind!!"
